What our service area in Winter Haven covers
We are based in Winter Haven and work across Polk County, with Bowling Green just over the Hardee County line. Most Polk towns listed here are within about 35 minutes of our Winter Haven base. The lists below name every town we have a page for, grouped by who permits the work, because that is the first thing to change from one place to the next. Click your town for local soil, flood, permit and price detail, and use the lists to see which neighbors share your permit office. If a county road, a state road or a lake changes the job, the town page says so.
We pour the same kinds of work everywhere in the service area:

Cities and towns with their own building offices, closest first
Inside these limits you deal with the city or town, and its code can differ from the county's on aprons, setbacks and floor heights.
- Eagle Lake (3,008 residents, about 6 minutes): driveways need a city permit, and access cannot exceed 24 feet wide at the right-of-way line.
- Winter Haven (49,219 residents, about 11 minutes): on a paved city street, code calls for a cement driveway to the pavement edge, and apron work needs a City Manager permit.
- Lake Alfred (6,374 residents, about 18 minutes): a first floor must sit 12 inches above the crown of the street in front.
- Bartow (19,309 residents, about 19 minutes): about 46 percent of the land points we sampled fall in FEMA Zone A or AE.
- Auburndale (15,616 residents, about 20 minutes): a 50-foot lake shoreline setback applies, with 17 named lakes in or on the city boundary.
- Dundee (5,235 residents, about 23 minutes): a driveway across town right-of-way needs plans approved by the town building official.
- Lake Hamilton (1,537 residents, about 24 minutes): aprons in the town right-of-way must be concrete, and pavers are banned there.
